Yatalla, the spirit of the creek waiting to be discovered. Forming the boundary of one of Penmara’s five family owned vineyards, the Yatalla Creek not only provides a beautiful setting, It also provides irrigation for the surrounding area.

When the vineyard was planted almost 20 years ago, preparation of the soil and land uncovered ancient fossils of crocodiles and other marine animals. When it was decided to create a new range of wines that reflected the unique character of Australia, these fossils were remembered and gave rise to the distinctive crocodile label that we see today.
